The accommodation at Cottage, Grotton Hall, Lydgate was absolutely lovely and impeccably clean. The owner was extremely helpful and provided clear instructions on how to find the property. We were pleasantly surprised to find a thoughtful welcome pack with essential food items waiting for us. The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending. I highly recommend this place.
We had a cozy evening planned with a fire in the living room, but unfortunately, there was a chimney fire. It was quite scary as the fire caused a shower of sparks and threatened to set the ivy on the roof ablaze.

We had such a warm and cozy stay at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect size for our group and the decor was tasteful and inviting. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even lending us bicycles to explore the beautiful Peak District. The location was ideal for our needs and the facilities available were well thought out. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful gesture of providing tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, and jam upon our arrival. we highly recommend this cottage and hope to visit again in the future.

The location was ideal for our meet-up with friends in the area, and the hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. The cottage was cozy and well-equipped, with a lovely lounge and a large modern shower. We appreciated the thoughtful food items in the fridge, including fresh, locally-sourced milk. It was also a bonus to have Netflix available on the TVs in every room, perfect for the kids. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place.
There were a few downsides to our experience. The cottage was smaller than expected for four adults, and we found the mobile and TV signal to be quite poor, though this may have been due to the weather.

The Cottage at Grotton Hall, Lydgate was a delightful find! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the cottage itself was beautifully modern and styled. The beds were comfortable, and the towels were soft and fluffy. We especially loved the log burning fire, although we didn't have a chance to use it. The location was perfect for exploring Dove Stone reservoir and other nearby attractions. The breakfast welcome pack was a lovely touch. we had a wonderful stay.
The only drawbacks were the cold temperature in the cottage, which we couldn't figure out how to adjust, and the layout of the second bedroom being accessed through the bathroom. However, these were minor inconveniences and didn't detract from our overall experience.
